CRITICAL LAND. THE MYTH OF UNTOUCHED NATURE
The first episode of our new English-language podcast, debuting alongside the exhibitions, "Magnetic North: Imagining Canada in Painting 1910-1940" and "Caroline Monnet. Transatlantic." CRITICAL LAND draws from some of the themes the exhibitions to go beyond what is displayed on the gallery walls. Through interviews with Indigenous artists, activists and scholars, we’ll connect the exhibition to art and environmental movements going on today. In this episode, you’ll hear from a Lakota-Scottish professor in Canada whose research and teaching focuses on contemporary Indigenous art history.
